Hello! I’m Debbie, the mom of a very inquisitive 3 year old – Katie. I am also the owner and creator of ChickyWonders. As most moms might agree, when you have your first baby your creative side goes into overdrive! I wanted to decorate her nursery with the perfect decor. After much searching around, I could only find mass produced plastic items, that were not exactly matching the visuals in my head. So with time on my side, and using my creative skills, I decided to tackle the decorating myself. I created my first mobile for her, which still hangs in her room and still gives her so much joy. Over the past two years I’ve been asked by lots of people where they could purchase a mobile like the one I had made, and this is where the idea for ChickyWonders began.
I have been in web design and animation my whole working career and it’s been great to find another creative outlet. I’ll be honest, I am not the neatest creative around – I’m not sure they even exist. My filing system on the computer is as crazy as my craft room…
This craft rooms isn’t going to tidy itself…
So let’s just close the door.
It has taken me 2 years to pluck up the courage to display my work to the public, but nothing gives me more excitement than knowing my creations are travelling across the globe to live in a new home, and bring joy to another baby. They really do take the centre stage in a nursery.
